NR 2:1 BEEF CATTLE PREMIX MONENSIN
Medicated with 1930 mg/kg Monensin sodium as an aid in the prevention of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria bovis and Eimeria zuernii in beef cattle.
This feed contains added selenium at 10.0 mg/kg. A list of the ingredients used in this feed may be obtained from the manufacturer.

FEEDING DIRECTIONS:
Mix 25 kg of this premix with 5 kg of salt and 970 kg of barley or mixed grain to make one tonne of beef cattle ration. Feed the resulting ration to finishing beef cattle according to the table below: Contact a New Rosedale Feedmill representative for more information.
WARNING:
1. Do not supplement monensin from other sources (e.g., other feedstuffs containing monensin or slow release devices containing monensin).
2. No withdrawal period or milk withholding time is required when treated at the recommended dose of 22 mg monensin per kg (0.0022%) of complete diet.
3. When mixing and handling monensin, avoid inhalation, oral exposure and direct contact with skin or eyes. Use protective clothing, impervious gloves and dust mask. Operators should wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling.
4. Keep out of reach of children.
CAUTION:
1. Directions for use must be carefully followed.
2. Do not use in association with another feed containing supplemental selenium.
3. Do not feed this mineral premix to sheep.
4. Do not exceed recommended levels as reduced average daily gains may result.
5. Do not allow dogs, horses, other equines or guinea fowl access to formulations containing monensin. Ingestion of monensin by these species has been fatal.
6. Do not use monensin-medicated feed for the treatment of outbreaks of coccidiosis.
7. May be used in feeds containing the following pellet-binding agents: bentonite (2%), attapulgite (2%), kaolin (2.5%), lignin sulfonate (4%), carboxymethylcellulose (0.1%), or Agri-Colloid.
