NR FEEDLOT BEEF CATTLE MEDICATED PREMIX
Medicated with Monensin sodium at 1540 mg/kg for improved feed efficiency in beef cattle (steers and heifers) fed in confinement for slaughter.
A list of the ingredients used in this feed may be obtained from the manufacturer. This feed contains added selenium at 11.0 mg/kg.

FEEDING DIRECTIONS:
1. Mix 25 kg of this premix with 973 kg of barley and 2 kg of Dyna K to make a complete beef cattle feed. Thoroughly mix this premix in the total daily diet, or in the grain portion of the beef cattle ration. Do not feed undiluted.
2. The following table shows the amount of grain/premix required per day for different body weights as to provide 33 mg of monensin sodium per kilogram in the total diet dry matter. In some herds, no improvement to feed efficiency was shown from feeding monensin at levels greater than 33 mg/kg. Decisions on the appropriate dose of monensin should be made in consultation with your veterinarian.

WARNING:
1. Do not supplement monensin from other sources (e.g., other feedstuffs containing monensin or slow release devices containing monensin).
2. No withdrawal period or milk withholding time is required when treated up to 48 mg monensin per kg (0.0048%) of complete diet.
3. When mixing and handling monensin, avoid inhalation, oral exposure and direct contact with skin or eyes. Use protective clothing, impervious gloves and dust mask. Operators should wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling.
4. Keep out of reach of children.
CAUTION:
1. Do not exceed recommended levels as reduced average daily gains may result.
2. Do not allow dogs, horses, other equines or guinea fowl access to formulations containing monensin. Ingestion of monensin by these species has been fatal.
3. Feed only to beef cattle (steers and heifers) intended for slaughter and maintained under confinement.
4. May be used in feeds containing the following pellet-binding agents: bentonite (2%), attapulgite (2%), kaolin (2.5%), lignin sulfonate (4%), carboxymethylcellulose (0.1%), or Agri-Colloid.
5. Directions for use must be carefully followed.
6. Do not feed to sheep.
7. Do not feed other sources of supplemental selenium to livestock receiving this feed.
